Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies is getting a virtual reality adaptation for Meta Quest headsets in 2027. Rather than announcing a new mainline game, the series is revisiting its fifth entry with a more hands-on way to investigate cases and challenge witnesses.
Investigations go hands-on
Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies VR will let players pick up and inspect evidence, search environments for clues in first person, and use gestures and voice commands during cross-examinations. That includes saying “Objection!” aloud when a witness makes a contradictory statement. Courtroom dialogue will still show characters such as Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Athena Cykes from a third-person perspective, preserving their animated reactions.

Release and headset support
The game is scheduled for sometime in 2027, with no specific release date announced. Its store page lists Meta Quest 3S, Quest 3, Quest Pro, Quest 2, and the original Quest, although developer Amata K.K.’s description omits the original headset. Players with that model should wait for clearer compatibility information before assuming it will be supported.

Amata K.K. is developing and publishing the VR adaptation. Its announcement does not confirm a new Ace Attorney entry, but it also does not rule one out. For now, the confirmed news is a different way to experience Dual Destinies: examining clues up close and delivering the series’ signature courtroom call yourself.
