In Acron’s chaotic setup, one VR player takes on the role of a mighty tree defending golden acorns, while up to eight mobile players become sneaky squirrels trying to steal them. The new “Cherry Glade” map puts a spring-inspired twist on the formula. Its vibrant setting changes the usual dynamics: squirrels can now dart in from more varied angles thanks to a new “sideways arc” design, forcing the defending tree to think — and throw — in every direction.
The result is faster, more unpredictable matchups that breathe new life into the game’s competitive, yet hilariously unbalanced, multiplayer format.

Beyond new gameplay content, this update includes a range of technical and quality-of-life improvements. Network stability has been significantly improved, reducing desyncs and latency issues that squirrel fans have long noticed. The “Cherry Glade” update is now live as a free patch for all Meta Quest, SteamVR, and PICO players. The hybrid VR-mobile game requires one headset player and between one and eight mobile participants via a companion app available on iOS and Android.
