Meta Quest’s award-winning game, Asgard’s Wrath 2, has launched its second Cosmic Event, titled “Into the Multiverse,” offering players a new set of challenges and rewards. This event comes just over a month after the game’s first patch and six weeks after its initial release.
In the “Into the Multiverse” event, players are tasked with battling on the multiverse frontlines within the Uncharted Rifts, strengthening the Guardian Alliance effort by defeating hostile intruders.
Oculus Studios Senior Producer Mari Kyle explains that the Cosmic Events are designed to keep players engaged and coming back for more. They allow players to complete unique challenges called Cosmic Objectives, close Loki Anomalies, and conquer Weaver Trials during a limited time period. Points earned from these challenges can be used to unlock new loot, like exclusive weapons, armor, and customization packs, all of which are completely free.
Some of the Cosmic Objectives and Weaver Trials in “Into the Multiverse” include defeating four Dread Souls in the Uncharted Rifts, using a Divine Soul to vanquish enemies in a single Uncharted Rift run, reaching floor 15 with no healing items or buffs, defeating 25 enemies using any wards in a single run, and reaching floor 25 using no Revelations.
Players will also encounter new Loki Anomalies, including a new mixed reality challenge, Desert Rogues, where Desert Renegades and Set Enemies have banded together to cause multiverse mayhem in the physical realm. This challenge is exclusive to Meta Quest 3.
The event offers over two dozen rewards, including the Apocalypse Wings spectral adornment, the Golden Cherub Helm, four primordial Fabled Horsemen Swords, the Alvilda-inspired Spread the Love weapon set, and the Deathdealer title. Players might also unlock new emotes.
In addition to the Cosmic Event, players of Super Rumble can unlock an exclusive Loki outfit by sending high fives to the God of Mischief. Super Rumble can be played for free via Meta Horizon Worlds.
Players have already expressed their struggle on Reddit to complete the event, asking for some guidance.
Asgard’s Wrath 2 is currently available on the Meta Quest platform for $59.99, and it’s free with new Quest 3 purchases until March 31, 2024.
The game was recently awarded Best AR/VR Game at the 2024 New York Game Awards and continues to impress players all over the world. The developers show us dedication and their desire to keep developing this masterpiece of a VR game.
