Release Date and Platforms
Canadian VR studio TREBUCHET has confirmed that its upcoming title Compass will release on May 28. The open-world flying adventure is headed to Meta Quest 3/3S and SteamVR, with a PlayStation VR2 version planned for a later date. The announcement came during the Creature Feature & Friends Showcase.
A Journey Through Uncharted Skies
Set in a surreal world high above the clouds, Compass places players in the role of a scout guiding a roaming Caravan. Your mission is to chart safe paths through unpredictable, ever-changing skies while exploring unknown regions filled with secrets and hazards.
Pilot, Upgrade, and Explore
At the core of the experience is your flying vessel, which you’ll pilot across expansive aerial environments. As you progress, you can upgrade your ship with new components, allowing you to travel farther and survive more dangerous routes. Exploration is key, with hidden areas, lost cargo, and new discoveries waiting beyond the horizon.

VR Interaction Beyond the Cockpit
Compass goes beyond traditional flight mechanics by incorporating hands-on VR gameplay. Players can leave their ship and use grappling tools to swing through floating ruins, climb structures, and complete environmental challenges. This adds a physical layer of interaction that enhances immersion and variety.
Story and Worldbuilding
As you explore, you’ll encounter characters living among the clouds and piece together the fate of your missing companions. Beneath the surface, a deeper mystery unfolds, hinting that something unusual is stirring within this sky-bound world.
