Martin Rumenov Neat Corp, the Stockholm-based studio behind Budget Cuts, has released its latest VR project, CROSSINGS, today on Meta Quest. Published by Creature—the label known for titles like Maestro, THRASHER, and Prison Boss Prohibition—the game plunges players into a brutal, mythic interpretation of the Norse afterlife.
CROSSINGS combines the punishing combat of a Soulslike with the physical immersion of VR, inviting players to battle their way through shifting realms of myth and memory. Armed with swords, axes, clubs, and the bow of Nör, players must strike, block, and cast gesture-driven spells against trolls, ghosts, draugr, and other foes pulled straight from Nordic legend.
Every playthrough brings a new version of the world’s terrain—forests, ruins, and caves reshape every time you fall, learn, and return. In true roguelike fashion, progression comes from mastering mechanics and reclaiming fragments of your lost past.
CROSSINGS also features seamless, wordless VR co-op. You can cross paths with other wandering souls through ambient connections or journey together in chosen pairings—a fitting touch for a game built around fate and rebirth.
A SteamVR release and full multiplayer update are planned for early 2026, slightly later than previously expected. Meta Quest players, however, can already step into CROSSINGS’ haunting Nordic world starting today.
Neat Corp’s journey with CROSSINGS marks a return to darker themes after lighter projects like Garden of the Sea. The developer promises an intricate mix of lore, challenge, and cooperative mysticism—all wrapped in an evolving VR roguelike experience.
