Founded just last year in 2023, Selkies Interactive, a Berlin-based development team made up entirely of women, is stepping into the spotlight with their inaugural game. They are proudly unveiling a playable demo of Echoes of Mora at this year’s Gamescom, marking an impressive early milestone for the fledgling studio.
Dive into the Mystery of a Submerged Village
Echoes of Mora invites players to explore a haunting, waterlogged village where secrets lie beneath the surface. The story follows Mora, a young protagonist on a quest to find her lost brother. Players will navigate the flooded environment, solving challenging puzzles and piecing together cryptic clues to unravel the mystery.
A unique feature of the game is the use of “Echoes”—time portals that unlock glimpses into the village’s past before it was inundated. Through these glimpses, players have the opportunity to experience life in the village before the disaster and potentially change the course of events to prevent the flood.
