Martin Rumenov Berlin-based indie studio Selkies Interactive has revealed new story details for Echoes of Mora, their debut title that blends emotional storytelling with immersive underwater exploration. Officially presented at the Convergence Showcase, the game is set to launch on April 29th, 2026, with a playable demo available now on Steam for both PC and PC-VR—perfectly timed for Steam Next Fest.
Described as “Subnautica meets Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture,” Echoes of Mora dives deep into an atmospheric lake village where time itself is fluid. Players follow Mora, a young girl searching for her missing brother, uncovering the truth of a once-thriving settlement now swallowed by water. By solving environmental puzzles and unlocking “Echoes,” players can slip between timelines—shaping both Mora’s fate and the world around her.

Founded in 2023 by a team of Berlin game design students, Selkies Interactive focuses on crafting emotionally resonant, story-driven worlds. Echoes of Mora has already drawn international attention, being selected for the London Games Festival 2026 and supported by the Games Incubator at HTW Berlin and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
