Final VR3000 Review: Impressive Gaming Audio, but a Steep Price

Martin Rumenov 2 weeks ago 0 17

The Final VR3000 Gaming Earphones aim to deliver the immersion of a gaming headset in a compact pair of wired earbuds. According to a GamesRadar+ review, they largely succeed: their sound is clear and spacious, and they remain comfortable during long sessions. The harder question is whether those strengths justify the $85.80 / £78.99 price.

Built for immersive sound

Final designed the VR3000 with gaming and binaural audio in mind. Their 6mm dynamic drivers produced strong bass, clear dialogue and a convincing sense of where sounds were coming from in the reviewer’s tests. While playing Mario Kart World on Switch 2, the reviewer found that engines and nearby racers felt more present than they did through the console’s speakers.

The earbuds also proved easy to pack for handheld gaming. They use a 3.5mm connection, making them suitable for devices such as Switch 2, Steam Deck, compatible VR headsets and a PS5 controller. Most phones without a headphone jack, however, will need an adapter.

Comfortable, with one weak spot

The angular design may not appeal to everyone, but the reviewer found that it helped the earbuds stay in place. Final includes multiple silicone ear tips, earhooks and a carrying case. The cable is detachable, which also makes it easier to replace if damaged.

The built-in microphone was less convincing. In the reviewer’s recordings, speech sounded muffled and picked up hiss and crackling. That makes the VR3000 a better fit for players who prioritize game audio than for those who spend a lot of time in voice chat.

Are they worth buying?

The VR3000 stand out as compact earbuds for immersive single-player games, VR and handheld play. But their premium price and underwhelming microphone make them difficult to recommend to everyone. For players who want strong wired gaming audio without carrying a headset, they are worth considering—particularly at a discount.
