Flat2VR Studios Expands VR Slate With New Games, DLC and Publishing Plans

Flat2VR Studios unveiled its largest-ever VR Games Showcase lineup, sharing fresh release details, new publishing efforts, major adaptation announcements and a production partnership. The presentation, held alongside Impact Inked, also highlighted the company’s wider growth across VR development, publishing and community support.

One of the standout announcements was the confirmation of High on Life VR and System Shock VR, two high-profile projects that will bring established flat-screen franchises into virtual reality. Flat2VR also introduced Unlock the Vault, a new publishing initiative designed to support PlayStation VR2 releases.

Trombone Champ DLC Launches August 20

Trombone Champ: Unflattened received a Disney-themed expansion. The paid Disney Movie Magic DLC launched on August 20, 2026, for Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2 and SteamVR.

The pack adds six Disney songs to the comedic VR rhythm game:

  • “A Whole New World” from Aladdin
  • “Under the Sea” from The Little Mermaid
  • “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story
  • “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast
  • “Circle of Life” from The Lion King
  • “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid

Players will also receive two Disney-inspired stages and three themed trombones. One environment places performers in an oversized setting, while the other takes the musical action underwater.

Out of Sight VR Targets PS VR2 and Quest

Flat2VR Studios also shared a new trailer for Out of Sight VR, a horror-puzzle game planned for PlayStation VR2 during the 2026 holiday period and Meta Quest in 2027.

The VR version of The Gang’s original game uses an unusual perspective. Rather than playing directly as Sophie, a blind girl trying to escape a frightening mansion, players take the role of Teddy, her stuffed bear.

Sophie relies on Teddy to see her surroundings, placing the player’s viewpoint in the toy’s position. When she carries the bear, players see the world from her arms; when she leaves it behind, they remain in place and observe Sophie as she explores, solves puzzles and avoids danger.

The game combines environmental challenges, stealth sequences, sound-driven threats, secret areas and supernatural elements. Its central mechanic makes players dependent on cooperation: Sophie needs Teddy’s eyes, while Teddy relies on Sophie to move and interact with the environment.

R.A.I.D. Opens Meta Quest Pre-Orders

Impact Inked and FusionPlay have opened Meta Quest pre-orders for R.A.I.D., an upcoming co-op roguelite first-person shooter. Players who pre-order the game will receive exclusive Platinum Gun Skins when it arrives later this year.

The game casts players as ESF Agents monitoring cargo traffic around Earth’s orbital trade routes. At the beginning of each mission, players inspect ships, review cargo information and decide whether vessels should be cleared or investigated.

Suspicious shipments can turn routine customs work into action-heavy boarding missions. Players can complete runs alone or join up to four-person online squads to explore procedurally generated spacecraft, fight smugglers and alien enemies, and recover valuable contraband.

Its weapon selection includes 10 firearms and gadgets, from the explosive Alien Potato Launcher and the lightning-powered Buzzer to the black-hole-producing Butterfly and the powerful Death Ray. Successful missions provide credits for upgrades, promotions and additional roguelite progression options.

New Trailer Partnership Announced

The showcase concluded with the System Shock VR reveal, but Flat2VR and Impact Reality also used the moment to announce a new creative partnership with Demo Akuro and Grimwolf Studio.

The studio produced the System Shock VR announcement trailer and will now serve as a preferred trailer-production partner for future Impact Reality, Impact Inked and Flat2VR Studios projects.

The companies said the partnership is intended to help future VR trailers better communicate the physical presence, scale, atmosphere and perspective that distinguish virtual-reality games from their flat-screen counterparts.

Flat2VR Continues Its Expansion

Beyond individual game updates, the event emphasized Flat2VR’s evolution from a community-driven movement into a broader VR business. Its operations now span game adaptations, VR-native publishing, marketing, quality assurance, playtesting, platform relations and creator campaigns.

With projects planned across Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2 and SteamVR, Flat2VR Studios is positioning itself as a growing force in the effort to bring established games and new concepts into virtual reality.
