During the CES 2025 NVIDIA announced that their cloud gaming platform will finally become available for a selection of Virtual and Mixed Reality Headsets. Such a grand expansion is part of the company’s goal to reach a greater audience and thus enable VR gamers to have access to high-quality gaming services. Users will be able to take advantage of NVIDIA’s abundant library which consists of over 2, 100 titles.

Supported Headsets

GeForce Now will only be available for these VR/ MR headsets:

  • Apple Vision Pro
  • Meta Quest 3 and 3S
  • Pico headsets

Features

GeForce NOW subscribers will gain access to advanced NVIDIA technologies, such as ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), which dramatically improve visual quality and performance. These features enable photorealistic gameplay with enhanced lighting, shadows, and reflections, as well as higher frame rates and reduced latency. The service will support gamepad-compatible titles, allowing users to play their favorite PC games on a massive virtual screen within their VR environment.

Depending on the device and subscription tier, the streaming experience will provide up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second with high dynamic range (HDR) capabilities. By leveraging the power of GeForce RTX-powered gaming rigs in the cloud, even less powerful VR devices will be able to deliver high-fidelity gaming experiences.

Subscription Options

GeForce NOW will provide flexible subscription options for VR and MR headset users, accommodating various gaming preferences and budgets. The service offers 1-Day Passes for casual gamers, as well as 1-month and 6-month membership plans for more dedicated players.

The Performance plan, priced at $9.99 per month, gives users priority access to GeForce RTX servers in the cloud, complete with DLSS and RTX capabilities for enhanced visuals.

For those seeking the ultimate experience, the Ultimate plan is available at $19.99 per month, providing premium features such as access to GeForce RTX 4080-powered servers, higher frame rates, and reduced latency.

It’s important to note that only Ultimate and Performance tier subscribers will have access to RTX and DLSS technologies in supported games, ensuring the best possible visual experience on their VR or MR devices.

GeForce NOW, NVIDIA’s cloud gaming service, is expanding to virtual and mixed reality devices later this month with the release of app update version 2.0.70.
