Goalienator is the ultimate arcade-style reflex training game that’s perfect for everyone, no matter your age or skill level. Picture this: you’re thrown into fast-paced, sporty settings, tackling a bunch of challenging game modes that really put your reflexes and hand-eye coordination to the test.
What’s cool about this game is that it’s got a mix of different modes and difficulty settings, so you can pick a level that’s tough enough to keep you on your toes without driving you crazy. So, whether you’re a reflex ninja or just getting started, Goalienator’s got your back.
And here’s the best part – you can sharpen those reflexes and hand-eye coordination skills anytime, anywhere. Just slap on your VR headset, dive into the game, and get ready to crush it!
RunByCoffee, the development team behind the virtual reality goaltending game Goalienator, has announced the start of the beta testing phase for their latest version, Goalienator 1.0, on the SteamVR platform. The team is actively seeking testers and quality assurance volunteers to help refine the game as they rebuild it from the ground up.
Beta Testing Phase
The current status of the game is Beta 5, which has successfully reintegrated most of the features from the live version into a new codebase and updated visuals. However, online features such as teams and versus challenges are not yet available in this beta iteration.
How to Apply
Prospective testers are encouraged to join the RunByCoffee Discord server and express their interest in participating in the beta test. Alternatively, they can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Goalienator SteamVR Beta Test” to apply. Approved beta testers will receive a password to access the 2024_Beta branch of the game.
The beta test is scheduled to run from February 16, 2024, to June 30, 2024. This extended period allows the development team to gather comprehensive feedback and implement necessary changes before the final release.
Why Not a Public Beta?
RunByCoffee has opted for a closed beta to ensure that participants are committed to testing the game thoroughly and providing detailed feedback and bug reports rather than just playing the game normally.
Important Notes for Testers
Testers should be aware that they will encounter broken, unfinished, and buggy features as the game is still in development. Stats from the current version of Goalienator will not carry over, and all stats during the beta will be regularly erased for testing purposes. Despite these challenges, testers may have the opportunity to earn exclusive in-game rewards, such as equipment decals, as a token of appreciation for their contributions.
The development team at RunByCoffee is excited to welcome dedicated players to their testing team and is looking forward to the valuable insights that will come from this collaborative effort.
