I Am Your Beast VR Brings Its High-Speed Revenge Thriller to SteamVR

Flat2VR Studios will released I Am Your Beast VR on SteamVR on September 17, 2026, bringing Strange Scaffold’s acclaimed first-person covert-revenge shooter into virtual reality. Developed through the Flat2VR Spark initiative, the adaptation puts players directly into the violent, rapid-fire conflict between former operative Alphonse Harding and the organization that refuses to let him walk away.

A former operative pushed too far

I Am Your Beast VR follows Alphonse Harding, a retired operative who has spent six years away from active service. However, the Covert Operations Initiative continues to call on him for increasingly unwanted “final” missions.

After rejecting the organization’s latest request, Harding becomes its target. What begins as an attempted manhunt develops into a one-man guerrilla campaign across the North American wilderness, with Harding using every available weapon, route, and opening to turn the pursuit against his former employers.

Players will fight through forests, hidden tunnels, enemy outposts, and other dangerous environments while leaving behind a trail of defeated soldiers, spent ammunition, and discarded gear.

I Am Your Beast VR gameplay

Fast combat rebuilt for virtual reality

The original I Am Your Beast is known for its aggressive pace, quick restarts, and improvisational combat. In the VR version, Flat2VR aims to make that gameplay more physical by allowing players to grab firearms, use them until empty, throw them aside, take another weapon from an opponent, and immediately move to a new position.

Rather than relying solely on careful shooting, the game encourages momentum. A player may disarm an enemy, fire a captured pistol, toss it after running out of ammunition, then escape through Harding’s tunnel system before hostile forces can locate them.

This hands-on approach is designed to strengthen the game’s “he’s-in-the-walls” fantasy: Harding is not simply surviving a military operation, but constantly attacking from unexpected directions and vanishing before the enemy can respond.

Missions built for speed and replayability

Each mission is presented as a compact combat sandbox focused on speed, creativity, and efficient execution. Players can approach encounters with a variety of improvised tactics, using whatever weapons or environmental opportunities become available during a run.

The first objective is survival, but replaying missions is expected to be a major part of the experience. Players can return to levels to improve completion times, pursue side goals, discover cleaner routes, and turn chaotic encounters into carefully optimized runs.

That structure should appeal to VR players who enjoy chasing faster times and mastering encounter layouts, as every run can become an opportunity to find a more aggressive or efficient solution.

The second Flat2VR Spark release

I Am Your Beast VR is the second title released through Flat2VR Spark, a creator-focused publishing label from Flat2VR. The initiative is designed to help external developers transform notable non-VR games into officially licensed virtual-reality releases, while providing support with publishing, quality assurance, storefront operations, platform requirements, and compliance.

Flat2VR Studios has built its identity around adapting established flatscreen games for VR, aiming to preserve what made the originals appealing while redesigning their interactions for a more immersive format.

With its intense pacing, comic-book-inspired brutality, and emphasis on improvisation, I Am Your Beast VR appears positioned as a particularly natural fit for that approach when it launches on SteamVR this September.
