Full Release and Launch Details

Estonian VR studio CM Immersive OÜ has officially released Into the Radius 2 version 1.0 on Steam (PCVR), bringing its Early Access phase to an end. As the sequel to the original 2020 survival shooter, the game now offers a complete experience playable from start to finish in both single-player and co-op modes.

To mark the launch, players can purchase the game with a 33% discount until the end of April.

Story, Missions, and Progression

The full version introduces a complete narrative campaign consisting of ten story missions. In addition, players can engage with nine types of side missions, totaling 178 optional objectives. Progression is structured around five access levels, unlocking new areas and challenges as players advance.

Co-Op and World Exploration

Co-op gameplay is now available for up to two players, featuring proximity-based voice chat for a more immersive experience. The game world includes three main locations, two sub-locations, and interconnected transit zones that gradually open as players explore deeper into the Radius.

Enemies and Combat Variety

Players will face three main enemy types—fragments, mimics, and creeps—with 12 variations in total. Combat is supported by a diverse arsenal featuring 25 weapon categories and 53 firearms overall, offering a wide range of tactical options.

Customization and Survival Systems

Weapons (excluding pistols), along with rigs, backpacks, and armor, can be fully customized. A durability and maintenance system adds depth, requiring players to manage and repair their gear.

Survival mechanics also play a key role, including stamina-based hunger, food consumption, artifact hunting, and loot collection.

Anomalies and Environmental Hazards

The game features nine anomaly types, alongside dangerous distortion zones that require specialized anti-distortion equipment. These hazards add an extra layer of tension and strategy to exploration.

Additional Features

Players can personalize their gear with paints and stencils, adjust difficulty settings, and take on the challenging Iron Man mode. A full set of achievements is also included for completionists.
