Really Interactive has officially revealed Janet’s Planets, a narrative-driven VR experience focused on restoring life across the galaxy. The announcement was made during the Creature Feature & Friends Showcase, with the game set to launch on Meta Quest 3/3S and SteamVR.
A Mission to Save Dying Worlds
In Janet’s Planets, players step into the role of a spacefaring terraforming expert tasked with reviving struggling planets. Each world presents unique environmental challenges, from lifeless atmospheres to extreme climates, all requiring careful adjustments to support new ecosystems.
The journey is not just about science—it’s also about understanding the needs of a variety of quirky alien inhabitants, each with their own expectations for a habitable home.

Hands-On Terraforming in VR
Using motion controls and specialized tools, players can directly shape planetary environments. From warming temperatures to growing forests, every action contributes to building a sustainable ecosystem.
The game encourages experimentation, as no two planets—or species—require the same solution. Players must observe, adapt, and fine-tune their approach to achieve the best results.
Story, Sandbox, and Challenges
The experience includes a six-hour narrative campaign that blends light storytelling with engaging gameplay systems. Alongside the main story, players can explore a sandbox mode within the Planetarium, offering unlimited creative freedom.
For a more competitive angle, daily challenges and global leaderboards provide ongoing objectives and replayability.

A key feature, “Janet’s SweetView,” allows players to instantly descend to a planet’s surface. This perspective shift lets them experience their terraforming efforts firsthand, adding an extra layer of immersion to the process.
The game also supports hand tracking on Meta Quest 3/3S, enhancing the tactile feel of interacting with each world.
About the Developer
Really Interactive, a Stockholm-based worker-run indie studio founded in 2016, is behind the project. Known for VR titles like Toran and Virtuoso, the team continues to expand its presence in the VR space with Janet’s Planets.
