VR-Dynamix has launched Ludwig II – Virtual: Neuschwanstein, an immersive virtual experience now available on Steam and Meta VR, with a Google Play Store release to follow. The title is the first in a planned series of digital projects dedicated to King Ludwig II of Bavaria and his visionary architectural ideas.

The experience allows users to roam the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle, from its dramatic exterior setting to selected, faithfully reconstructed interior rooms and curated knowledge scenes. Visitors are guided into the historical and artistic context of the “Fairy Tale King,” seeing the castle’s architecture and symbolism up close.
Access Unfinished and Hidden Spaces
A standout feature is the chance to enter areas that were never completed, left unfinished after Ludwig’s early death, or that remain inaccessible today. These digitally realized rooms present Neuschwanstein as it might have appeared if the king’s plans had been fully implemented. The experience also highlights forward-looking technologies of the era, including early airship concepts that captivated Ludwig.
