Path of Fury Enhances VR Kung Fu Experience with bHaptics Support

Path of Fury: Episode I – Tetsuo’s Tower, the on-rails VR Kung-fu arcade thriller, has introduced full bHaptics support for Vest, Arms, and Visor devices. This update allows players to physically feel enemy punches, enhancing the immersive experience of the game’s fast-paced martial arts combat.

Developed by Leonard Menchiari, director of Trek to Yomi, and published by Abonico Game Works, Path of Fury is set in a gritty 80s-inspired world. Players must fight their way up Tetsuo’s fortress-like tower, using only their fists as weapons.

The game features:

  • Wing Chun-inspired combat system
  • Intense VR immersion
  • Progressively challenging levels
  • A blend of authenticity and accessibility in martial arts gameplay

Path of Fury is available for $9.99 on the Meta Quest Store, supporting Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro devices.

Two new competitive challenges have been announced:

  1. Highest kill count in arena endless stages (prize: $350, ends April 20)
  2. Project Zenith, in partnership with VR video platform Rival (prize: $2,500, ends April 27)

Players can join these challenges through the official Path of Fury Discord server.

Leonard Menchiari, the game’s director, commented on the bHaptics implementation: “The bHaptics feature really does add a lot. We collaborated directly with the bHaptics team to ensure that the effects were a perfect blend between realistic and satisfyingly responsive, and I think it turned out great.”

Path of Fury aims to provide an intense, skill-based VR experience that combines the essence of Kung Fu with arcade-style action, offering players a unique and challenging journey through a dystopian tower filled with enemies and obstacles.
