Martin Rumenov Curious Games has announced the official release date for their anticipated VR action game, Slap Fighter, revealing a new multiplayer-focused trailer during the UploadVR Summer Showcase 2025.
Multiplayer Takes Center Stage
The latest trailer provides a first look at Slap Fighter’s multiplayer functionality. Whether engaging in lighthearted duels or intense global competitions, players can now battle each other in real time. The game features a robust tournament system, supporting up to 16-player brackets. Notably, progress and unlocks collected within the single-player campaign will transfer to multiplayer, allowing combatants to showcase new abilities and cosmetic items in online matches.
Launch Platforms and Availability
Originally scheduled for a general fall release, Slap Fighter is now confirmed to debut exclusively on the Meta Quest platform beginning September 4. Releases for PC VR and PS VR2 users are expected at a later date.
Dive Into Slap Fighter’s World
Players assume the role of John “The Invincible” Krasinsky, who awakens from a coma to find his city dominated by the menacing Syndicate. Guided by a mysterious mentor, players learn to wield elemental slap powers—including fire, water, earth, lightning, and wind—to dismantle the Syndicate’s grip. As the adventure unfolds, quick-time event (QTE) combos and increasingly advanced power combinations come into play for defeating enemies and formidable bosses.
