Martin Rumenov IO Interactive has launched a new HITMAN World of Assassination Elusive Target mission starring rap icon Snoop Dogg. Titled The Herbalist, the limited-time mission is available now and gives Agent 47 a new high-profile target to eliminate on Haven Island.
Players can access the mission through the game itself or via the HITMAN World of Assassination Free Demo until September 26, 2026. Haven Island access is required to take part.
Agent 47 Takes on Dr. Cyrus Cane
In The Herbalist, Snoop Dogg portrays Dr. Cyrus Cane, an unconventional entrepreneur preparing to launch his new cookie line, Morsizzles, around the world. However, the product has allegedly been connected to multiple deaths during its testing phase.
With the global launch approaching, Agent 47 is tasked with stopping Cane permanently and ensuring the suspicious cookie brand never reaches the public. The mission takes place during an extravagant launch party on Haven Island, where players can infiltrate the event, study the environment and decide how to carry out the assassination.
Snoop Dogg provides both his likeness and voice for the mission, marking his first appearance in the World of Assassination series. His son, Cordell C. Broadus, also appears as a guest at the party, making this the first time a father and son have appeared together in the franchise.
Speaking about the crossover, Snoop Dogg said it was an honour to become part of a series with such a large fanbase. He also highlighted the mission’s style, the involvement of his son and the freedom players will have when facing Dr. Cyrus Cane.
The Season of the Herbalist Begins
The new mission arrives alongside the Season of the Herbalist, a fresh live-content roadmap for HITMAN World of Assassination players. The update introduces new challenges, Featured Contracts, Twitch Drops, returning Elusive Targets and IOI Account rewards.
Among the returning and new activities are:
- “Bloom Where You Are Planted,” set on Ambrose Island.
- “Fortune Favors the Bald,” taking place at the GAMA Private Hospital in Hokkaido.
- The return of The Undying Returns Elusive Target.
- New Twitch Drops, including the Purple Streak Proximity Explosive and Green Grapes.
The seasonal content is free for existing HITMAN World of Assassination players, while the Snoop Dogg mission itself can also be tried through the Free Demo during its limited availability window.
The Herbalist Pack Adds Permanent Content
IO Interactive has also released The Herbalist Pack, a paid DLC inspired by the new Elusive Target. Priced at $7.99 / €7.99 / £6.99, the pack gives players permanent access to additional mission-based content and themed cosmetics.
The DLC includes permanent access to The Visionary, a two-level Elusive Target Arcade contract built around Dr. Cyrus Cane, as well as The Herbalist Assignment, a Special Assignment featuring Snoop Dogg’s character. The assignment comes with 16 challenges to complete.
Players also receive several unlockable items and outfits:
- The Entrepreneur Fur Coat.
- The Hustler Tracksuit.
- “The Smoke.”
- Ryte LX2 Custom Mic.
- Morsizzles Cookie.
- Big Biz Briefcase.
- Four Freelancer Safehouse cosmetic items inspired by the mission.
The Herbalist Pack is available now on most platforms, while it is scheduled to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4. The pack and the Getaway Pack will be released for Switch 2 on the same date.

The new Elusive Target gives players a limited chance to take down Snoop Dogg’s Dr. Cyrus Cane, while the accompanying DLC offers a way to keep part of the experience permanently.
