Space Control Lands on Meta Quest and SteamVR, Turning Alien Abduction into a Corporate VR Comedy

A Comedic VR Abduction Adventure Arrives

MoonMonster Studios has officially launched Space Control, a tongue‑in‑cheek VR adventure now available on Meta Quest and SteamVR, inviting players to survive an intergalactic corporate kidnapping. Released on 1 April 2026 — and very much not an April Fools’ joke — Space Control casts you as an unlucky human snatched by mega‑corporation Glorpo Inc. and forced to pay off a mysterious debt by taking on the menial, messy jobs no alien wants. Content creators are already calling it one of the standout VR titles of recent years, with the studio hoping players will quickly grow attached to alien colleagues Melody, Zorgle, Widgett and AI assistant Sydra.

Pricing and Launch Discount

Space Control is priced at $17.99, with a 10% launch discount available for the first week on both Steam and Meta. On Meta, an additional 10% discount code is planned via a store post shortly after release, subject to platform availability.

Three Episodic Jobs at Glorpo Inc.

From day one, all three episodes are unlocked, each framing a different slice of life aboard Glorpo Inc.’s corporate space station. In “Fresh Recruits,” players process newly abducted humans to keep the company’s growth on track, while “Best Flavor Ever” turns alien childcare into barely controlled chaos as you wrangle unpredictable infants. The third episode, “GlorpoVision,” sends you to a raucous music festival kitchen, grilling dubious space snacks to the beat of an exclusive K‑Pop track written and performed by Jantine Annika Heij (Monsta X, NCT 127) and composed and produced by Kejero (Starship Troopers: Terran Command).

Space Control VR gameplay and story

Physics‑Driven Chaos and Cartoon Dystopia

Space Control leans heavily into physical comedy and tactile interaction, encouraging players to pull, fling and juggle a wide variety of aliens, gadgets and oddball contraptions in richly cartoonish environments. Nearly everything in the world reacts to your touch, enhancing the slapstick feel of its episodic missions. The setting channels the anarchic, dystopian humour of shows like Futurama and Rick and Morty, framing corporate exploitation among the stars as a bright, absurd playground.

Climbing the Intergalactic Corporate Ladder

Across its episodes, Space Control’s narrative follows your climb — or stumble — up Glorpo’s corporate ladder as you try to outlast the company’s demands and bond with fellow abductees Melody, Widgett and Zorgle. Sydra, an AI companion strapped to your wrist, serves as both guide and commentator on the ridiculous bureaucracy around you.

Six Years in the Making

For MoonMonster Studios, launch day marks the end of a long road. The team describes Space Control as the culmination of a six‑year effort, weathering shifting VR market conditions, platform challenges, and a lack of external funding or marketing backing to bring their vision to life.

About MoonMonster Studios

Based in Belgium, MoonMonster Studios focuses on games where chaos, creativity, and comedy collide, and Space Control is pitched as a showcase of that ethos. The project was supported by the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF), Creative Europe MEDIA Fund, Flanders Game Hub, the Belgian Tax Shelter, Cronos Invest, and Robot Teddy.
