MoonMonster Studios has announced that its offbeat VR adventure Space Control will launch on April 1, 2026, for Meta Quest and SteamVR, turning April Fools’ Day into a shift at the strangest job in the galaxy. The game will also appear in the VR Games Showcase with a fresh trailer debuting on March 24.
Instead of pulling pranks, players find themselves forcibly “employed” by intergalactic megacorp Glorpo Inc., working off a mysterious debt they never racked up. In this humor-driven experience, you are tasked with all the dirty work no alien wants to do, guided by your AI assistant Sydra and joined by alien crewmates Melody, Widgett and Zorgle aboard a corporate space station.
Space Control unfolds across three distinct episodes, each built around a bizarre job role inside Glorpo’s operation. New recruits will process arrivals on Day 1, wrangle chaos-hungry alien infants on Day 2, and sling dubious space snacks at the GlorpoVision Music Festival on Day 3, where players can enjoy an exclusive K‑Pop anthem by songwriter Jantine Annika Heij and composer-producer Kejero.

The team leans hard into playful physics, letting players pull, toss, bounce and experiment with aliens, gadgets and assorted sci‑fi contraptions scattered around the station, with nearly everything designed to be interactive. The tone channels animated cult favorites like Futurama and Rick & Morty, presenting a bright but dystopian corporate future where productivity trumps everything, even on April Fools’ Day.
Founder Gilles Vancoillie jokes that launching a comedy game on April 1 “sounds like a setup,” but insists Glorpo Inc. is deadly serious about efficiency, hungry alien babies and high‑energy music. That energy is backed by a cast of voice actors with credits in The Legend of Zelda, Genshin Impact, Marvel Rivals and The Amazing Digital Circus, joined by well-known VR creators Whackycast, SmashingVR, Jordan Antle (PapaFearGaming) and Fynnpire in the lineup.

Players can wishlist Space Control now on the Meta and Steam stores and join the community via Discord and social channels for ongoing updates. The project is developed by Belgian studio MoonMonster Studios, known for embracing absurdity and chaos, and has been supported by the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF), Creative Europe MEDIA, Flanders Game Hub, Belgian Tax Shelter, Cronos Invest and Robot Teddy.
