Squingle Arcade, a free-to-play spatial puzzle game from VRAL Games and creator Dr. Benjamin Outram, is now available on SteamVR. The PCVR release follows the game’s Meta Quest debut on July 9 and introduces improved PCVR performance, asynchronous multiplayer competition, ghost racing, and more than 60 levels.
Built as a fresh arcade-focused entry in the wider Squingle universe, Squingle Arcade has been redesigned around short, replayable puzzle sessions. Players manipulate colourful 3D environments in VR, steering glowing paired orbs through dynamic maze-like structures while gathering Color Pods, triggering switches, avoiding dangers, overcoming enemies, and reaching each stage’s final Goal.
A New Arcade Take on Squingle
Although it takes inspiration from the award-winning original Squingle, Squingle Arcade is not simply a port or expansion. The game has been rebuilt as a free-to-play VR experience intended to be approachable for newcomers while offering a high skill ceiling for players chasing faster times and leaderboard positions.
Creator Dr. Benjamin Outram says the new version reflects feedback from the community and focuses on the elements that make the series satisfying to play: striking visuals, tactile movement, and an engaging sense of flow.
The result is a VR puzzle experience that aims to be easy to pick up but increasingly demanding to master. Each level asks players to carefully control twin revolving orbs through glowing, glass-like environments that shift, twist, and pulse around them.

More Than 60 VR Puzzle Levels
At launch, Squingle Arcade includes over 60 levels spread across a series of colourful cosmic worlds. The game supports both quick sessions and extended attempts at mastering its trickier challenges, making it suitable for players looking for a calming daily VR activity or a more competitive score-chasing experience.
A free DLC pack containing more than 20 additional levels is also planned for the near future.
Players can approach the game at their own pace. Some may prefer its meditative atmosphere and ambient soundtrack, while others can pursue cleaner runs, faster completions, and stronger leaderboard placements.

Asynchronous Multiplayer and Ghost Racing
The SteamVR version adds asynchronous multiplayer features, allowing players to challenge friends and compete against other users around the world without needing to be online at the same time.
Ghost racing lets players compare their runs against top performances, offering a direct way to improve routes, movement precision, and completion times. Global leaderboards will track the strongest players as they work through the game’s growing collection of puzzles.
