Martin Rumenov Indie hit expands beyond VR with new content and star-studded voice cast
Big Brane Studios Inc. has officially launched its charming interactive anime adventure, Sushi Ben, on PC. First introduced to players as a VR-exclusive in 2023, the title is now available in both flatscreen and VR modes, bringing the quirky small-town story to a wider audience.
A Bigger Adventure on PC
The PC release isn’t just a simple port. Players can look forward to more than four hours of brand-new minigames, ranging from fishing and dog walking to archery and even ghost hunting. The upgrade also includes a fully voiced English cast featuring acclaimed talent such as Laura Post (Little Witch Academia), Ryan Colt Levy (Chainsaw Man), and AJ Beckles (Dandadan).
Saving Sushi, Fighting Landsharks
Set in the seaside town of Kotobuki, players step into the role of a newcomer tasked with helping the locals defend their sushi bar from greedy “landsharks.” Along the way, the narrative mixes heartfelt slice-of-life themes with over-the-top anime humor. Written by Hato Moa, creator of the cult classic Hatoful Boyfriend, the story blends touching character moments with surreal comedic flair.

Manga-Style Storytelling Meets Interactive Play
Sushi Ben sets itself apart visually with immersive 3D manga-style panels that dramatize the unfolding story in comic-book fashion. Colorful townsfolk bring personality to every encounter, while the mix of wholesome interactions and outrageous situations gives the game a distinct anime flavor.
