Two-time Grammy Award winner Nadeem Majdalany has brought his ambitious virtual reality project, La Pandora’s Box, to Meta Quest, expanding access to a cinematic concert experience that blends music, storytelling, and cutting-edge VR technology.
From Theater to Home VR
After a successful run at the Miracle Theater in Los Angeles, the production is now available for at-home viewing. Originally experienced as a shared VR event, the transition to Meta Quest allows audiences to explore its immersive world individually while retaining the depth and scale of the theatrical version.
Filmed in 12K RAW true 360° VR, the experience places viewers at the center of every scene, surrounded by dynamic visuals and spatial audio that shifts with perspective.

A New Form of Storytelling
Rather than fitting into a traditional category, La Pandora’s Box combines elements of a concert, film, and interactive art installation. The 43-minute journey reinterprets the myth of Pandora, guiding viewers through themes of creation, temptation, chaos, and redemption.
Each segment unfolds in a distinct environment, ranging from cosmic landscapes to surreal, symbolic spaces. The narrative evolves visually and musically, encouraging viewers to interpret the experience on a personal level.
Live Performance Meets Virtual Worlds
One of the project’s defining features is its use of live performance compositing. Real musicians, dancers, and performers are integrated directly into digitally created environments, blending physical artistry with virtual design.
The sound experience is equally immersive, featuring ambisonic audio led by Grammy-winning engineer Brian Vibberts. Voice narration from Bronson Pinchot and Courtney Friel adds atmosphere and narrative cohesion.

Audience Reception and Impact
During its theatrical release, La Pandora’s Box attracted nearly 2,000 attendees across multiple screenings. Many viewers returned for repeat experiences, drawn by the layered details within its visuals, music, and storytelling.
The project has also gained attention in discussions about the future of immersive media, including recognition in emerging entertainment categories linked to Emmy conversations.
Pushing the Future of VR Entertainment
Now available on Meta Quest, La Pandora’s Box represents a step forward in how audiences engage with music and cinema. By merging live performance, narrative depth, and immersive technology, the project transforms viewing into an interactive, exploratory experience.
