A World Ruled by Surveillance
InnerspaceVR is preparing to deploy its latest stealth-thriller, Spymaster, into Early Access on Meta Quest and SteamVR on 7 May 2026, inviting players to join the last independent spy agency in a world dominated by surveillance.
Set in a near future where Protocore and its enigmatic CEO, PROTUS, control a globe-spanning monitoring network, governments have shuttered their own intelligence services and outsourced security to this all-seeing system.
NODE, a renegade freelance agency operating off the grid, now stands as the final line of defence against Protocore’s darker ambitions.
Meet NODE’s Elite Operatives
Players work from NODE’s hidden command centre, cleverly disguised inside a trawler vessel, sending agents on operations that crisscross the globe.
Rather than a single protagonist, Spymaster casts you as three operatives—TIC, Mulligan and OSCR—each bringing unique skills, gadgets and irreverent personalities to every assignment.
Before deployment, a device known as the C.A.S.S.E.T.T.E. briefs you on your destination and objectives, after which you choose your operative and your preferred approach.

Dynamic Missions and Free-Flowing Movement
Spymaster’s missions shift fluidly between careful infiltration and explosive action, from poisoning high‑value targets to sprinting across rooftops toward helicopter extractions.
The game emphasises continuous motion, allowing players to run, climb, slide, zipline and shoot without breaking momentum as they weave through tightly designed environments.
Optional side objectives and dedicated challenge scenarios encourage players to refine their runs and push their spycraft to the limit long after the main mission is complete.
Time-Rewinding Espionage
At the heart of Spymaster lies its Temporal Replay System, which lets you rewind your own actions with a twist of an in‑game watch.
Using the C.A.S.S.E.T.T.E., you can roll back part or all of a mission attempt, reposition to pass key items, retime critical shots or optimise a parkour route until every move clicks into place.
Because missions are designed to require multiple operatives, coordinating overlapping timelines and synchronising agents becomes essential to pulling off the perfect heist or extraction.

From Prototype to High-Stakes Thriller
Game director Jeremy Moirano notes that Spymaster’s core mechanic began as a simple VR experiment in recording organic avatar movements, originally used as placeholder animation before the team recognised its gameplay potential.
As the recording technology matured, InnerspaceVR focused on making each interaction feel tactile and satisfying, evolving the prototype into a fully fledged espionage experience built around collaborating with your past selves.
Classic Spy Flair, VR Heritage
Spymaster draws inspiration from classic spy and heist films such as Mission: Impossible and Ocean’s Eleven, blending suave operatives, elaborate set‑pieces and cutting‑edge gadgets with a playful, tongue‑in‑cheek tone.
It is the latest project from InnerspaceVR, the award‑winning studio behind acclaimed VR titles like A Fisherman’s Tale and Maskmaker, known for imaginative worlds and inventive mechanics.
With Spymaster entering Early Access on Meta Quest and SteamVR on 7 May 2026, players can now wishlist the game and prepare to step into the role of NODE’s newest time-bending agent.
