Narriflux will bring its gravity-bending VR racing experience, ZipRush: Surf the Void, to Meta Quest Early Access on September 3, 2026. Priced at $9.99, the game challenges players to race across walls, ceilings, curved structures, and open air while discovering their own high-speed routes.

Already available through Steam Early Access, ZipRush: Surf the Void presents itself as a virtual extreme sport built around speed, movement, risk, and player creativity. Rather than following a fixed track or an obvious racing line, players are encouraged to study each environment and identify unconventional ways to reach the finish faster.

A VR Sport Without Fixed Routes

Set among the remains of a fallen world, ZipRush turns nearly every part of its environment into a potential racing surface. Players can travel over traditional ground, ride vertical walls, surf across ceilings, and launch themselves into open space to connect different sections of a course.

The game’s courses are designed to reward experimentation. A faster route may require riders to leave a surface, redirect through the air, recover onto a wall, or use momentum to reach an unexpected shortcut. Instead of treating route-skipping as an exploit, Narriflux has made it a central part of the competition.

According to Hsin-Chien Huang, founder of Narriflux, the aim is to make route discovery as important as raw racing speed.

“Most racing games ask players to master the fastest route,” Huang said. “ZipRush asks them to discover it. We wanted to create a VR extreme sport where movement, creativity, and physical technique matter as much as speed.”

Movement Controlled by the Player’s Body

ZipRush: Surf the Void uses body-based movement controls through both VR controllers. Players point their hands in their intended direction of travel, then adjust their position to manage momentum.

Moving the hands farther away from the chest increases speed, while drawing them closer slows the rider down or applies a brake. At higher speeds, precise turning and body positioning become increasingly important, as an aggressive maneuver can send players off the course.

Falling does not necessarily end a run. Riders have access to two movement tools designed to help them correct mistakes and create more advanced routes:

  • Thrust provides a quick burst of movement that can be used for mid-air adjustment, evasive movement, and returning to a nearby track.
  • Gravity Arc fires a fixed-length tether that pulls players toward surfaces, helping them change direction, reconnect with a route, preserve momentum, or reach shortcuts.

These tools are also expected to give skilled players new ways to optimize runs as the community learns more about each track.

Track Creation and Competitive Features

Alongside official courses, ZipRush includes a Track Builder that allows players to create, test, publish, and share their own racing environments. Community-made tracks can range from smoother speed-focused layouts to more demanding technical challenges that require accurate movement and route planning.

The game will also include multiplayer racing, leaderboards, and ghost racing. Players will be able to compete against others live, pursue top leaderboard times, and study ghost runs to see how rivals approach difficult sections or discover more efficient paths.

As players build new tracks and uncover fresh techniques, Narriflux expects the game’s competitive scene to develop around evolving routes, community challenges, and player-created rivalries.

Meta Quest Release Date

ZipRush: Surf the Void launches in Meta Quest Early Access on September 3, 2026, for $9.99 USD. The VR racer is currently available in Steam Early Access, where players can already wishlist and try the game.
