The survival-focused VR shooter will arrive on PS VR2 with its complete single-player campaign, while two-player co-op is scheduled to follow later in 2026.

Into the Radius 2 is heading to PlayStation VR2 on September 24, 2026, bringing the full single-player version of the tense VR survival experience to Sony’s headset.

The PS VR2 edition will launch with the game’s complete story campaign, allowing players to venture alone into the dangerous Pechorsk Anomaly. Developer CM Games has also confirmed that two-player cooperative play is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, meaning PS VR2 users will eventually be able to face the unexplained dangers of the Radius alongside a friend.

A dangerous journey into the Radius

Into the Radius 2 places players in a hostile and unpredictable exclusion zone filled with valuable supplies, deadly anomalies and mysterious creatures. Survival depends not only on accurate shooting, but also on careful planning, weapon maintenance and resource management.

The voiced campaign includes 10 Top Priority missions, 178 side missions and five Security Levels that gradually unlock new opportunities and locations. Players will explore three major areas and two additional sub-locations as they progress through the story and uncover more about the strange phenomena surrounding the Radius.

Every excursion can bring unexpected dangers. Distortion fields, anomalous zones, artifacts, limited resources, hunger and hazardous nighttime conditions all force explorers to think before pushing deeper into the zone. Equipment such as night-vision devices, flares and dual-mode infrared lasers can be vital tools when visibility drops and the environment becomes increasingly hostile.

Into the Radius 2 VR weapons and customization

Weapons, customization and threats

Players will have access to 53 firearms across 25 weapon categories, with the ability to modify their preferred weapons using attachments. The game also includes cosmetic personalization options, including spray paint and stencils for equipment and guns.

Maintaining weapons remains a core part of the experience. Explorers will need to keep their arsenal in working order while operating in the field, as failures and misfires can become especially dangerous during encounters with enemies.

The Radius is inhabited by a range of hostile creatures, including Fragments, Mimics and Creeps. There are 12 enemy variants in total, each presenting different risks during missions and scavenging runs. Before returning to the Zone, players can practice handling weapons and improve their accuracy in the Shooting Range.

PS VR2 features

The PlayStation VR2 release is designed to make use of the platform’s immersive hardware features. PS VR2 Sense controller haptics will add physical feedback to interactions such as firing, reloading and weapon malfunctions, while headset feedback will further emphasize the impact of the Radius’ many dangers.

The title has already moved beyond its Early Access period and is now available as a Full Version on Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. Existing Quest owners receive the Full Version as a free update, although Early Access save files are not compatible, requiring players to begin a new adventure.

The Meta Quest version supports both solo play and two-player co-op, with proximity voice chat and walkie-talkies enabling players to communicate across longer distances. Co-op is designed for a maximum of two players.
